Cleaning Services – What to Expect

We custom-tailor every house cleaning we do to match our customers’ needs and wants. Whether you need weekly, bi-weekly, monthly; move-in or move-out; or spring or fall cleaning, when we come to your home you can expect expert level of service. The same team of people will clean your house every time, so they get to know exactly how you want it done. We take into account all personal preferences, religious beliefs and/or medical necessities, and we’ll work with you to make sure your house is cleaned just the way you like it.

You can expect us to clean the following in each area of your house:

Bedrooms & All Living Areas:

• Flat areas damp-cloth dusted
• Stairs vacuumed
• Empty closet floors vacuumed
• All readily-accessible floors vacuumed
• Wood floors mopped
• Cobwebs removed
• Picture frames dusted
• Mini-blinds, louvered doors and lamp shades dusted. (If you require slat-by-slat blind cleaning, we offer this at an additional hourly rate. Please let us know if this is something you’re interested in by contacting our office.)
• Ceiling fans dusted
• Intricate items dusted
• Any house-specific needs (changing linens, taking trash out, etc.) we can discuss in advance. (Some needs may incur additional fees.) 

Bathrooms:

• Tile walls, bathtubs and showers cleaned and disinfected
• Shower doors cleaned and disinfected
• Vanity and sink cleaned and disinfected
• Mirrors and chrome fixtures cleaned and shined
• Floors washed and disinfected
• Carpets vacuumed
• Toilets cleaned and disinfected
• Mildew chemically treated
• All rugs vacuumed and will be left hanging to allow floor to dry
• And any other house-specific needs

Kitchen & Eating Areas:

• Counter tops cleaned
• Range hood exterior cleaned
• Range exterior cleaned
• Sinks cleaned and disinfected
• Chrome shined
• All appliance exteriors cleaned
• Floors vacuumed and mopped
• Microwave wiped out
• General dusting
• And any other house-specific needs

And the Extra Step Touch:

Along with everything we do above (and after your first deep clean), we rotate more specific services like the ones below each time we clean your house:

• Mini-blinds, louvered doors and lamp shades dusted. (If you require slat-by-slat blind cleaning, we offer this at an additional hourly rate. Please let us know if this is something you’re interested in by contacting our office.)
• Tile grouting scrubbed
• Shower door given extra attention
• Spot clean doors and door frames for fingerprints
• Fronts and outside of cabinets wiped
• Baseboards wiped
• Extra attention to floors
• Inside of range hood cleaned
• Grease filter cleaned (by request)
• Appliances cleaned and shined
• Knick-knack areas cleaned
• All kitchen furniture hand wiped
• Window sills and ledges damp wiped
• Furniture hand wiped
• Furniture and upholstery vacuumed (by request)

What we don’t do…

We want you to be completely satisfied with your cleaning, so, while we listed above what we DO, we also want you to know in advance that there are some things we do NOT do. In alphabetical order:

Bodily Fluids: For the safety of our workers, we are unable to clean up vomit, blood, urine, excrement or any other bodily fluids.

Chandeliers: We’re sorry, but we do not clean ornate chandeliers. Our insurance company simply won’t let us.

Garages and Outdoor Porches: Garages are not part of the interior of your home and we do not clean them. Same goes for most outside porches.

Insects/Rodents: If an insect infestation is encountered, we will not clean until the problem has been rectified. Please do not expect us to clean up dead insects that you have sprayed or treated for, as well. We do not remove dead rodents or any other type of clean-up where animal fluids or excrement is concerned. That type of clean-up may be more suited to a critter control business. We will always notify you if we come across a problem as soon as it happens.

Ladders: For insurance purposes, we are unable to use client ladders or step stools. Higher items will be dusted with an extension duster up to 10 feet. If something in your home will require us to reach farther than that, please let our office know.

Move Furniture: We can’t pick up heavy furniture to clean around. We may be super cleaners but we’re not super heroes able to lift couches with a single finger! We will move light furniture if it is under 10 pounds and on sliders. Also, we will not take the chance of scratching a hardwood floor by moving furniture on it unless you tell us specifically you would like us to move it.

Pet Clean-Up: We will not clean up your pets’ accidents, clean out litter boxes or dog kennels.

Windows: While we will spot-check the inside of all the windows we can get to, we can’t clean the outside of them and we can’t get up on ladders to reach tall ones inside either. (A dedicated window cleaning company is a much better choice for this.)
